My recent epiphony. We are trying to decide when to adopt a child, and I keep making excuses. No extra money right now. How are we going to homeschool another kid? Should we move to another city first? Should we adopt internationally or domestic? Blah, Blah, Blah. I analyze things too much.
Chris told me very wisely "If God wants us to do this, He will provide everything we need. We don't need to worry about the details."
The very next day God drove the point home to me, as He does. At church we had a guest speaker and she emphasized Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." If Peter could walk on water just by trusting the Lord against all his logical thinking, we can obey him too and not worry about the details.
Here is what He has been laying on my heart for the past 2 years:
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
James 1:27
And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.

We're planning on starting the classes by the end of the year.
