Avery's third soccer season is over, and wow - did he improve this year! Chris spent a lot of time with him in the backyard teaching him a few techniques...after all, Chris was training for the Olympic team 10 years ago when I met him - until his ankle got injured and he couldn't play anymore :(
They played 3-3 every week for 6 weeks.
His absolute favorite position was goalie, since that's what we worked on the most with him. He turned out to be the best goalie on the team - diving for the ball, kicking it out of bounds when the other team got it near the goal, and throwing it out to his teammates.
